A dress is the most feminine and most exciting element of a wardrobe. Every season, fashion houses try to offer new variations of dresses for all occasions. The autumn-winter season 2016-2017 is no exception, and now we can see the most beautiful dresses presented at New York Fashion Week, as well as find out the sources of inspiration of talented designers.
Let's start with fashion brands that celebrate femininity in their collections year after year. Fashion shows Oscar de la Renta, Lela Rose, Marchesa, Cushnie et Ochs cannot be imagined without dresses. This season, designer Peter Copping was inspired by the origins of the Oscar de la Renta fashion house. In 1973, Oscar de la Renta took part in the “Battle of Versailles” show, where French and American designers presented their collections. Critics praised the elegance and minimalism in the images of Oscar de la Renta. It was this style that Copping decided to revive in the new collection. And the fashion house Marchesa, led by Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, has not deviated from its chosen direction for many seasons. Designers are once again captivating the public with lush evening dresses and skillful embroidery and decoration.
There was also room for an innovative look. Quite unusual dress models were presented during their shows by BOSS Hugo Boss, Proenza Schouler and Tory Burch. If you like asymmetry, unusual cuts and a combination of different textures, then the collections of these fashion brands definitely deserve a detailed consideration.
